WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) - The U.S. government will release reports on weekly jobless claims and revised fourth-quarter gross domestic product at 8:30 a.m. Eastern. Economists surveyed by MarketWatch project jobless claims fell to 345,000 last week from 348,000 in the prior week. GDP growth, meanwhile, is likely to be revised higher to 3.2% from the previous estimate of 3.0%. It's the third and final release of GDP for the fourth quarter.
