SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Bankrate Inc. said late Thursday that its initial public offering of stock has priced at $15 a share, in the middle of the anticipated range. The shares are expected to start trading Friday on the New York Stock Exchange, under the ticker symbol "RATE." Bankrate said in a statement that its offering 12.5 million shares of common stock, while certain stockholders are offering 7.5 million shares. The IPO will mark a return to the public markets for the provider of personal finance information, which was taken private by Apax Partners LP in 2009.
