Bloomberg Article :New York Fed Faces House Subpoena Over AIG Bailout

Edolphus Towns (D-NY) from the Oversight and Government Reform Committee threatened the New York Federal Reserve with a subpoena over documents concerning the Government Bailout. Towns has accused then NY Fed Chairman Tim Geithner orchestrating a "back door" bailout that fully reimbursed AIG partners Goldman Sacks and Societe Generale SA. Geithner, now Treasury secretary, has resisted handing over any documents since November. This news comes as pressure mounts on the Tarp practices have come under heavy scrutiny.
