It is my opinion that the inflation that affects the price of gold will NOT be because of inflation in US$—the US$ is on its way off center stage. The 'reserve currency' battle is already being lost where the US dollar is concerned: countries are already actively avoiding using the US$ in trade agreements like the one now happening between China and Japan. But it's not just in trade agreements. Iran in having been kicked out of most of the world's central banking cabal is now using gold as a currency. Read this:
"...This week we're informed that Iran is using gold or oil to buy food as new financial sanctions have hurt its ability to import basic staples for its 74 million people. The difficulty paying for urgent import needs has contributed to sharp rises in the prices of basic foodstuffs, causing hardship for Iranians with just weeks to go before an election seen as a referendum

How do you like those Apples?
An unnamed New Yorker claims Apple's new "Find My Friends" app -- which uses GPS to locate any of your friends that have allowed you access to their location -- led to a stunning revelation: His wife has been cheating on him.
"I got my wife a new 4S and loaded up Find My Friends without her knowing. She told me she was at her friend's house in the East Village. I've had suspicions about her meeting this guy who lives uptown. Lo and behold, Find my Friends has her right there."

CUPERTINO, Calif. – Steve Jobs, the Apple founder and former CEO who invented and masterfully marketed ever-sleeker gadgets that transformed everyday technology, from the personal computer to the iPod and iPhone, has died. He was 56.
Apple announced his death without giving a specific cause.
"We are deeply saddened to announce that Steve Jobs passed away today," the company said in a brief statement.
"Steve's brilliance, passion and energy were the source of countless innovations that enrich and improve all of our lives. The world is immeasurably better because of Steve"
Jobs had battled cancer in 2004 and underwent a liver transplant in 2009 after taking a leave of absence for unspecified health problems. He took another leave of absence in January -- his third since his health problems began -- before resigning as CEO six weeks ago. Jobs became Apple's chairman and

NEW YORK/SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - Google Inc is paying $12.5 billion to buy phone maker Motorola Mobility Holdings Inc, its biggest-ever deal, as protection against legal challenges from Apple Inc and other mobile rivals.
The Internet search leader is building up its patent portfolio -- seen as one of the weakest in the industry --- after it lost out to Apple, Microsoft Corp and others in a recent auction of bankrupt Nortel's assets.
But in buying Motorola, the developer of Android -- the leading smartphone software -- risks alienating the 38 other phone makers that depend on Android to run their smartphones, according to analysts.
Google CEO Larry Page sought on Monday to reassure investors this would not happen, and phone makers including Samsung Electronics Co officially said they welcomed the deal as it will also help their legal battles.

Something odd is going on with the market today: the NASDAQ has, for reasons unknown, halted disseminations and while we are trying to figure out what the reason for this odd market moving event is, confirmed by major sustained negative ticlks, we are looking at the one stock that is more indicative of the Nasdaq (with a 20% weighting) than any other company: Apple. Judging by the chart, there are some very peculiar technicals in process. Just like Greek rioting prompted the flash crash, will today's Egyptian televised attempt at revolution force the Nasdaq to impose a market wide circuit breaker?
