Earthquake rescue efforts go on in New Zealand

SYDNEY (MarketWatch) -- Rescue efforts continued on Thursday to find survivors trapped after a 6.3-magnitude earthquake devastated the New Zealand city of Christchurch two days ago. The official death toll stands at 76, according to reports, but many are still missing. Many people in the city are still without water and electricity, according to reports. There have been at least 36 aftershocks measuring more than 4 on the Richter scale since Tuesday's earthquake, the New Zealand Herald reported.
