G-20 reportedly takes first step on indicator deal

SYDNEY (MarketWatch) -- Finance leaders attending the G-20 meeting held in France over the weekend reached a tentative deal which could lead to the introduction of indicators to help prevent future financial crises, according the Financial Times. French finance minister Christine Lagarde said that the indicators are expected to include domestic policies of G-20 members, such as public sector deficits, as well as external imbalances, the newspaper reported.
