Treasurys slide; Fed buyback, Middle East in focus

NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- Treasurys slipped in early trading Friday, pushing yields up after falling to multiweek lows on Thursday, with any decline limited by worries about tensions in the Middle East flaring up over the three-day weekend. The main event for the session will be the Federal Reserve's late-morning buyback of debt. Traders may also begin positioning for next week's auctions or hedging potential corporate bond sales, which usually entail selling current holdings, said strategists at CRT Capital Group. Yields on 10-year notes , which move inversely to prices, rose 3 basis points to 3.61%.
