Radiant Systems shares fall after earnings report

SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Shares of Radiant Systems Inc. dropped Wednesday after the point-of-sale terminal maker reported quarterly results late Tuesday. Radiant shares fell 5.8% to $18.02 in high-volume trading in recent activity. Radiant swung to a fourth-quarter profit of $6 million, or 15 cents a share, from a loss of $17 million, or 51 cents a share, a year ago, on revenue of $90.6 million. Excluding one-time charges, the company would have reported earnings of 33 cents a share. Analysts surveyed by FactSet Research had forecast quarterly earnings of 23 cents a share on revenue of $89.1 million.
