Avon up as company considers buyout offer

NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- Avon Products Inc. rose 4.5% in premarket trades Monday after the company said its board will consider Coty Inc.'s revised acquisition bid. The board, working in conjunction with management and financial and legal advisers, expects to render a decision "within a week," the New York-based company said Sunday.
