U.S. stock futures stay lower amid stream of data

NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- U.S. stock futures retained the bulk of their losses Wednesday after a slew of economic reports, including a rise in jobless claims by 2,000 to 393,000 last week. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average declined 69 points to 11,378. Those for the S&P 500 fell 8.40 points to 1,174.40. Futures for the Nasdaq 100 were down 14.75 points to 2,199.50.
