Macy's same-store sales rose 4.9% in September

NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- Macy's Inc. said on Thursday that its September same-store sales rose 4.9%. The company said total sales in September rose 5.3%, to $2.30 billion. Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters had expected Macy's same-store sales to rise 4.4%
