Italian bank Intesa SanPaolo has reported a 36 percent drop in first quarter net income. Italy s second largest bank said in a statement Friday that the profit of euro688 million was down from euro1.1 billion in the same period last year, when it enjoyed a euro511 million gain from the release of deferred taxes.
